The nearly 30,000-person field will begin the race in staggered waves. The starting order is as follows: * Elite women: 8:30 AM * Elite men: 9:05 AM * Wave 1 (runners seeded 1-10,000): 9:30 AM * Wave 2 (runners seeded 10,001-20,000): 9:45 AM * Wave 3 (runners seeded 20,001-29,999): 10:00 AM
Post-Race Party
Join us at the Mile 27 Post-Race Party presented by our sponsors! The party will be held from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Boston Common. There will be live music, food, drinks, and activities for all ages. Plus, you'll have a chance to meet some of the Boston Marathon champions.

The 2024 Boston Marathon will be televised live on NBC and WBZ-TV. You can also watch the race online at NBCSports.com and Peacock.
