Nerlens Noel, born on April 10, 1994, in Everett, Massachusetts, is an American professional basketball player of Haitian descent. He attended Tilton School in Tilton, New Hampshire, before committing to the University of Kentucky to play college basketball.

Noel's collegiate career ended prematurely in his first season when he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).
