Brownstone Shared Housing is a Palo Alto-based company that has been offering shared housing for students and young professionals since 2015. The company's new concept, called "bed pods," is designed to provide a more affordable and private sleeping option for people who are struggling to find an affordable place to live in the Bay Area.

The bed pods are small, private rooms that are just big enough for a bed and a desk. They are located in shared houses with other people, but each pod is its own private space. The pods are fully furnished and include a bed, desk, chair, and storage space. They also have access to shared amenities like a kitchen, bathroom, and living room.

Brownstone Shared Housing CEO, Chris Brownstone, said that the company came up with the idea for bed pods after seeing how difficult it was for people to find affordable housing in the Bay Area. "We wanted to create a more affordable and private sleeping option for people who are struggling to find a place to live," he said.

Brownstone said that the bed pods have been very popular since they were launched in May. "We've had a lot of interest from people who are looking for a more affordable and private sleeping option," he said. "We're excited to be able to offer this new concept to people who are struggling to find an affordable place to live in the Bay Area."
