Burbank, Calif. - Today, Disney released the official trailer and key art for "Descendants," a highly anticipated original movie event premiering on Disney Channel Friday, July 31 (8:00 p.m. ET/PT). The movie will be available on DVD and Digital HD on August 4.

In addition to the trailer, Good Morning America unveiled exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, giving viewers a glimpse into the making of the movie. Fans can also watch full episodes of "Descendants," as well as access additional behind-the-scenes content and extras, on Disney Channel.

"Descendants" is a contemporary musical adventure that tells the story of the children of Disney's most iconic villains, who are forced to attend a school for the children of heroes. The movie features an all-star cast, including Dove Cameron as Mal, Sofia Carson as Evie, Cameron Boyce as Carlos, and Booboo Stewart as Jay.
