Aerosmith Retires from Touring After 50 Years
Legendary Rock Band Calls It Quits
Steven Tyler's Vocal Injury Forces the Band to Hang Up Their Hats
Aerosmith, the iconic American rock band known for hits like "Walk This Way" and "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing," has announced its retirement from touring.
The announcement came on Friday, September 1, 2023, after frontman Steven Tyler suffered a serious vocal injury during a recent performance. The injury has left Tyler unable to sing at the level required for the band's high-energy live shows.
"It's a tough decision, but it's the right one," said guitarist Joe Perry. "We've had an incredible run, but Steven's health is more important than anything else. We love our fans and we appreciate all the support they've given us over the years."
